Enovid: view 8

In April 1956, the first trial of Enovid began in a impoverished farming town in Río Piedras, Puerto Rico. The participants weren't informed that they were guinea pigs in an experiment to test the world's first birth-control pill. The tablet’s contained three times as much hormones as legally permitted today, and two seemingly healthy women participating in the trials died.

I am pretty good :)
Very anxious to get to MICA this fall..this year has been a bit of a struggle artistically I went to a school that I thought offered more than it actually did and I was not challenged much at all. I have a few people that are at MICA as well as you and all I hear is good things, I am so glad I am going to be apart of mica soon, I need it.
Would love to see you this summer possibly, I am looking at apartments right now and plan on being in baltimore in may or june, do you have a place?
Keep in touch:)

MICA will be good for you, my freshman year here certainly was a wake-up call and at times a real struggle, but it is all worth it in the end! I will most likely be living in Mt. Vernon this summer but I still don't know just yet. I am leaving for Spain after I graduate for three weeks, hopefully I will see you around when I get back! :)

Yeah, although I went to a school that did not really push me like I needed to be pushed artistically this past year it did make me change completely my focus in art.
I hate having regrets but I wish I would of concentrated a lot more on what the school's teaching habits and aesthetics were when I looked for colleges last year. But like I said in a way i needed to be at a place where I could realize what I really needed out of my education and pcad allowed me to see that I needed more.
Pcad is solely focused on feeding the students a design aesthetic in approaching art and more of a business side of making a living off of art, and not so much personal commitment to art. And the small glimpses I have had of MICA, it really pursues the students creativity a lot more and allows for their personal voices to be very obvious in their work, which was totally lacking in this past year at PCAD.
Good luck with everything! The work you have done, both your senior work and I saw you still continue to do murals! Very impressed at the work you did in new york for that public mural with the animals.
It turns out I'll be in the dorms at MICA this fall, which is not so bad, they actually look great haha, crossing my fingers to get a spot in the gateway! But we'll see :)
I'll definitely talk to you more this upcoming year!

Paula,
So glad I found you once again on here! Its Alex from way back when. Your senior work is so intriguing. I am in Baltimore often, and will be there this summer, is it going to be in a MICA gallery? Would love to see it in person.

Is it true that there's a point on a man's head where if you shoot it, it will blow up?
